The smallest desert in the world

... is located in Canada, and is a mere 1 square mile (or 640 acres). The Carcross Desert, as it is known, is not a true desert - the area is "too humid" by technical standards - but rather a jarring series of sand dunes in the Yukon left over from long-dried lakes.
